Dorota Jagoda Michalska is an art historian and curator. She is a graduate of the University of Warsaw and The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Currently, she is a PhD researcher at The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on how concepts of coloniality, subalternity and race have shaped the field of modern and contemporary art in Poland. She has contributed to several art journals such as ArtMargins, L’Internationale and Afterall as well as to catalogues by the Venice Biennale, Prague Biennale of Art, Zacheta National Gallery and Tate Modern, London. Between 2013 and 2015 she was a researcher assistant at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
