Alina Șerban

Alina Șerban is an art historian, cofounder of the Institute of the Present, Bucharest. In her work, she addresses issues of terminology, (re)definition and non-linear approach of post-war Eastern European art. She curated several exhibitions, recently "The Modern Idol. Henry Moore in the Eastern Bloc" (2021) and "24 Arguments. Early Encounters in Romanian Neo-avant-garde 1969–1971" (2019) at the National Museum of Art of Romania, Bucharest. She is the founder and editor of the publishing program P+4 Publications, dedicated to Romanian art, architecture and photography and coeditor of the series of artist publications PARKOUR.
