Courtauld Institute, London
The library of the institute preserves several rare publications from which connections and cooperation between Latin-American and East-European artists can be reconstructed. These hard-to-assess publications also reveal how differently or similarly artists from these regions related to the political situation and ideological discourses in their countries and how these affected transcontinental exchanges. This research brought completely new knowledge about transnational networks and transfers, which was utilized at the fourth Resonances titled Equal and Poor: A Comparative Perspective on Art in Communist Europe and the Global South in the Long 1970s.
